WRC

The telemetry of WRC 7/8/9 is enabled with a mod, which needs to be copied to the install directory of the game. The SIM Dashboard Server Application should already be installed.

CAUTION
WRC 7/8/9 does not have an official interface!

The interface that is added using a mod (as described below), does only provide very few data values:

  • RPM
  • Speed
  • Gear
  • G-Force

Important info:

  • The mod has to be reinstalled after every game update
  • After smaller game updates, the mod is still compatible. If the game receives major updates, it can happen that the mod does not work anymore
  • There is no PRO Upgrade for WRC 7/8/9, because the data is very limited

The SIM Dashboard App gives you additional gauges for your favorite PC, PS4 & XBOX SIM Racing games. Select from more than 200 customizable widgets and create your personal display. Tachometer, Steering wheel display or timing screen, everything is possible, it's up to you.

Manual configuration

For WRC 7/8/9 no automatic configuration is available, so you need to execute the manual steps as described below.

Download the Mod

Download the WRC Telemetry Patch from racedepartment.com and save the file to any directory.

Open the game directory

  1. In the SIM Dashboard PC Application, select the entry WRC 7/8/9 (using Telemetry Patch)
  2. Scroll down the right side of the application
  3. Click on the folder links next to the text WRC Game directory

If the SIM Dashboard PC Application has not automatically detected the installation path of your game, you can also open it manually using the Explorer.

Copy the mod

Copy the files

  • Install.bat
  • Readme.txt
  • WrcInjectionPayload.dll

from the wrc-telemetry.zip file of the mod into your WRC 7/8/9 game directory.

Install the mod

Doubleclick on the Install.bat file

If the Microsoft SmartScreen Dialog appears:
Click on More info and then on Run anyway

The Install.bat file is not dangerous, it creates a copy of the original game file before the mod file is copied. (If you are not confident yet, you can check the contents of the Install.bat file yourself)

Repeat these steps for every of your WRC Games (WRC7, WRC8, WRC9)

The game is now ready to provide data.

Thanks to motion4all for the Patch.
